        Great black and white photographers, PART 2

       Gordon Roger Alexander Buchanan Parks was not just a photographer but he was a musicia, song writer, film director and composer. He is best remembered for his photographic essays for Life magazine and as the director of the 1971 film Shaft. He was born November 30, 1912 in Fort Scott, Kansas and passed away March 7, 2006 in New York City. Parks went to a segragated school. His mother died when he was fourteen then he was sent to live with other relatives . He has won 13 awards from 1941-2008. Parks also wrote books such as Black In America, Born Black, Choice of Weapons, Flavio ect. These two pictures below where taken by parks.

The Camara

The Camara

Parallax- Is a  different  view when someone is looking at something and at a different angle someone sees something different

Digital SLR- Is a digital single lens reflect camera that uses a mechanical mirror system and pentaprism to direct light from the lens to an optical viewfinder on the back of the camera.

Periscope- Is a tube attached to a set of mirrors or prisms and it can see things that are otherwise out of sight.

Bellows- A part of a camera that is expandable and allows you to adjust focusing.
                          
Aperture- Awhole in which light travels

Shutter- Alloes light to pass through for a desired period of time 
   
Exposure- Amount of light allowed on a certain area

F stop- the ratio of the focal length of the lens to the diameter of the aperture 

Focal length- The measure of how intense the system converges or diverges light.

 Top part of Canon Rebel T3, The buttons that feature on the back of this camera are the on/off button. The shutter button, The camera wheel including different features you can do to change the picture, The lens measurement and the on and off stabilizer.

This would be my bad picture. I choose this as my bad picture because it is kinda blurry. Another reason is because he is leaning I would rather have a straight pose standing tall. Thats all that I don't like about the picture other wise I like the lighting on the picture.


This is my good picture that I took during this assignment. I like this picture because i really like the lighting in it. I also think this is one of my good picture because all three of the guys are looking in one direction. The flag in the back ground is a good symbolism for the united states.
