        Great black and white photographers, PART 2

       Gordon Roger Alexander Buchanan Parks was not just a photographer but he was a musicia, song writer, film director and composer. He is best remembered for his photographic essays for Life magazine and as the director of the 1971 film Shaft. He was born November 30, 1912 in Fort Scott, Kansas and passed away March 7, 2006 in New York City. Parks went to a segragated school. His mother died when he was fourteen then he was sent to live with other relatives . He has won 13 awards from 1941-2008. Parks also wrote books such as Black In America, Born Black, Choice of Weapons, Flavio ect. These two pictures below where taken by parks.
